Sheena has dedicated most of her career to supporting children and families across both the statutory and voluntary sectors. In 2010, she co-founded CFFM and has since helped build a highly skilled and experienced team of mediators committed to supporting families through challenging times.
A fully accredited family mediator, Sheena specialises in Child Inclusive Mediation, ensuring children’s voices are heard and considered, as well as Kinship Care Mediation. She is passionate about helping families improve communication and strengthen relationships, particularly during periods of separation and change.
Sheena believes that healthy communication between parents is key to understanding family situations and reducing the long-term impact of conflict on children. Her work is driven by a commitment to helping children maintain positive relationships with both parents wherever possible, supporting their confidence, self-esteem, and emotional wellbeing.
Alongside her mediation practice, Sheena delivers training, workshops, and courses focused on communication skills and supporting separated parents.

With more than 20 years of experience as an accredited family mediator, Liz has helped countless families navigate some of life’s most difficult transitions. She specialises in supporting families to resolve disputes relating to children, property, and finances, helping them reach practical and sustainable agreements.
Liz brings a unique blend of professional expertise to her mediation work, having previously worked in housing advice and psychotherapy. She also maintains a separate accreditation as a therapist, giving her a deep understanding of family dynamics and human relationships while ensuring her mediation practice remains impartial and focused on resolution.
A strong advocate for effective communication, Liz believes that constructive dialogue can reduce conflict and create better outcomes for families. As a grandmother of three, she understands the importance of family relationships and is trained to work directly with children, ensuring their perspectives can be heard as part of the mediation process.
Laura Mackey

Laura has been working as a mediator for over 20 years and is passionate about the positive impact mediation can have on individuals, families, and communities.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Mediation and Conflict Intervention from Maynooth University, Ireland, and is accredited through the Family Mediation Council. Laura is also qualified to meet directly with children and young people as part of the mediation process.
Known for her calm, compassionate, and supportive approach, Laura’s mediation style is both facilitative and therapeutic. She creates a safe and constructive environment where families can work through difficult conversations and move towards positive solutions together.

Before becoming a family mediator, Simeon enjoyed a successful career in retail, working with many of the world’s leading consumer organisations. Throughout his career, he developed extensive experience in managing complex situations, resolving conflict, and helping people find common ground.
Having personally experienced family mediation during his own divorce, Simeon saw first-hand the value that mediation can bring to separating couples and families. Inspired by this experience, he retrained and now works as a full-time family mediator.
Accredited by the Family Mediation Council, Simeon is qualified to mediate across all areas of family mediation. His personal insight, combined with his professional expertise, enables him to support clients with empathy, understanding, and a genuine commitment to helping families achieve workable and lasting agreements.
